On January 27, 2021, the State of Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) released a notice with guidelines for implementing remote online notarization (RON) in Wisconsin. The notice provides an expanded list of approved vendors that can provide RON services. It also provides guidance on how Wisconsin notaries can become approved RON notaries. Once authorized, the notary can provide RON services directly to the general public.
