Attorney Held Personally Liable to Defrauded Lender

In a recent opinion, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the United States found an attorney who served as the sellers' attorney and who was the owner of the title company that closed transactions in which the sellers committed mortgage fraud was personally liable to the defrauded lender.
