2013 Zoning Certificate of Compliance Fee Increase
The City of Chicago issued the following notice on December 3, 2012: The Zoning Certificate of Compliance will increase from $90 to $120, effective January 1, 2013. A Certificate of Zoning Compliance is required whenever residential property containing five or fewer dwelling units is transferred or sold in the City of Chicago. The requirement does not apply to the transfer or sale of condominiums or cooperative buildings. For more information, call the City of Chicago Department of Housing and Economic Development, Zoning Bureau, at 312.744.5777.
Please note that ATG's $60 service fee remains the same, making the total charge $180. When requesting a Zoning Certificate through ATG, please be sure to use the correct form. To accommodate this change, there are two versions of ATG Form #4027: Request for Water and/or Zoning Certification (Chicago) posted on the ATG Forms web page at this time, one for use through December 31, 2012, and one for use after January 1, 2013. Questions? Contact Daniel Bowden in the ATG Search Department. Thank you.
